    Y-type filter is an indispensable filter device in the pipeline system of conveying medium. It can be used to filter large particles in liquid, gas or other media. Installation on the pipeline can remove large solid impurities in the fluid, so that the machine equipment (including compressors, pumps, etc.) and instruments can work and operate normally, so as to stabilize the process and ensure safe production. When the fluid enters the filter cartridge with a certain size filter screen, its impurities are blocked, while the clean filtrate is discharged from the outlet of the filter. When cleaning is needed, only the removable filter cartridge is taken out and re-loaded after treatment. Therefore, the use and maintenance are very convenient.

Scope of application

Weak corrosive materials in petrochemical production, such as water, ammonia, oil, hydrocarbons, etc.

Low temperature medium in refrigeration, such as liquid methane, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen and various refrigerants.

Light industrial food, medium with hygienic requirements in pharmaceutical production, such as beer, beverage, dairy products, pulping pharmaceutical products, etc.


General Principles for Selection of Filters

Import and Export Path: In principle, the import and export diameter of the filter should not be less than the import diameter of the matching pump, generally the same as the import pipe intersection.

Nominal Pressure: Determine the pressure level of the filter according to the maximum pressure that may occur in the filter pipeline.

The selection of pore size: the size of impurities to be intercepted is mainly considered, depending on the technological requirements of the medium process.

Filter Material: The material of the filter is generally the same as that of the connecting process pipeline. For different working conditions, filters made of cast iron, carbon steel, low alloy steel or stainless steel can be selected.

Calculating the resistance loss of the filter: The pressure loss of the water filter is 0.52-1.2 kPa under the normal rated flow rate.
